Congratulations to our Fall 2016 Biannual Scholarship Winner!

We had a huge success last year with our scholarship award! With so many applicants entering amazing essays, it was very difficult to choose one winner. Therefore, this year, we decided to do two scholarship awards. One award will be at the beginning, while the other at the end of year.

Our winner for the first award in 2016 is Michael Yi from Washington.

Michael Yi will be a freshman at University of Washington this upcoming fall. Since his junior year of high school, he has developed a passion for programming. He is currently a software engineering intern at Microsoft this summer. In addition, Michael has developed a love for serving others. He has served as Co-President of Hugs for Ghana, a student-led, non-profit organization, raising thousands of dollars to help Ghanaian children in need. As a direct admit to UW’s Computer Science Department, Michael hopes to combine his two passions to develop technology that will tangibly help others.

Have a good summer!
